Summary

The Graphic Design student will focus on producing ads, posters, brochures, and tickets with digital formats. This position will also contribute creatively for the Interrobang newspaper, and produce design concepts for the FSU Publications clients. 

This contract position will work Monday-Friday, up to 35 hours per week from May – August pending approval.

Job Duties

  • Produce marketing materials that may include, but not limited to: ads, posters, brochures, newsletters, flyers, digital ads
  • Prepare final digital and print files, as well as deliver completed projects to clients as needed
  • Maintain an orderly archive of projects
  • Occasionally attend meetings with the creative team
  • Adhere to branding and style guides
  • Serve as a department ambassador and positively promote the departments at events and activities as required 
  • Assist with social media or experiential marketing efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be a registered full-time Fanshawe College student completing 1 year of Graphic Design or Applied Arts
  • Must be familiar with Mac platform and Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Well versed in the latest graphic design methods, practices, techniques, and associated principles
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and able to take direction well
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective project management skills
  • Ability to develop print specifications
  • Works well under pressure, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Excellent attendance record
