The Customer Service Rep (CSR) - Hospitality will be responsible for providing consistently high-levels of customer service to all patrons at Booster Juice and Oasis by providing prompt service, taking accurate orders, and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials. The CSR carries out duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times, and ensuring quality customer service in preparing various drink orders at Booster Juice and preparing high quality coffees and beverages at Oasis. Other responsibilities include cashier duties, assisting with cleaning duties, and complying with all restaurant policies and procedures.   

This position may float to various areas of the Hospitality department within the FSU to assist with any staffing needs as necessary, including Booster Juice, Oasis, and Out Back Shack restaurant.

Weekend or holiday work is possible.  Contract may be extended pending approval.

Job Duties

  • Take orders from customers and effectively communicate order to team to execute
  • Maintain familiarity with the composition of all menu items
  • Prepares Smoothies, food and other beverages to Booster Juice standards
  • Mix ingredients to prepare high quality coffees and other beverages
  • Advise customers on beverage choices, making suggestions when necessary
  • Clean assigned areas, in accordance with standard procedures, following morning/evening routines and hygiene requirements
  • Clean and refill cruet and condiment sets
  • Ensure that all restaurant items and equipment used are clean, undamaged and in a good state of repair
  • Ensure sideboards on stations are adequately stocked with replacement cutlery, linen or other established needs (be it food or equipment)
  • Processing credit or debit card and cash transactions using an electronic scanner and cash register
  • Keep periodic balance sheets of amounts and numbers of transactions
  • Stock shelves, and mark prices on shelves and items as required
  • Address customer complaints satisfactorily
  • Abide by safe food and beverage handling standards
  • Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of personal hygiene and follow company dress code
  • Assist with the training of other CSR’s as necessary
  • Attend meetings and training courses as required
  • Float to various areas throughout the Hospitality department to meet staffing needs
  • Other duties as required


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A certificate or diploma in a related field preferred
  • 1 year of restaurant and/or café experience preferred
  • Ability to follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Friendly disposition and willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to educate customer on products and meet customer expectations
  • Demonstrate “Outstanding Customer Service” regularly
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail
  • Professional appearance and manners
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Working Conditions

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
  • Overtime as required
  • Lifting or moving up to 20lbs may be required
